At Georg Simon Ohm university we emphasize applied research and development, demonstrated by six in-(internal)institutes, three at-(attached)institutes and numerous Competence Centers and companies founded by members of our university.
On the whole we are one of the most research intensive universities of applied sciences nationwide.
Knowledge and technology transfer
Approximately 80 well-equipped laboratories and networks offer the best conditions for pratice-oriented research. Our students benefit from the university's comprehensive research expertise and are closely involved in laboratory operations.
Most of the projects are carried out in cooperation with international and regional companies, organizations or public institutions. This knowledge and technology transfer in business and society has led to the creation of numerous jobs in the Nuremberg metropolitan area.
