We are very glad and proud to announce that the IB student Dhruv Agarwal has been awarded the DAAD Prize for distinguished academic and social achievements by the Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD). The prestigious award is given annually to an international student for his/her outstanding academic achievements combined with a social and intercultural commitment.

Dhruv was born in 1986 in Pune, India. After his High School in Pune and as part of the Rotary Interntional Youth Exchange (IYE) Programme, in 2003 he spent one school year in Luenebug Germany and in 2004 he started his IB studies.

As an IB students he spent his study semester abroad at the partner university in Kuala Lumpur. After a traineeship in the product management department and an internship in the controlling department of two major German companies, he is now completing his last study semester at the GSO and  writing his Bachelor Thesis.

For two semesters he was the Vice President of the Incoming Exchange at AIESEC in the Local Committee Nuremberg and, as such, in the last years he chaired three Regional Conferences of AIESEC in Germany, each with more than 150 Delegates.

Where did he find the time to do all that with brilliant grades and without loosing his warm and friendly smile? No wonder: he was trainer at AIESEC for soft skills,  time and strategic planning and AIESEC culture. Learning by doing and doing by learning is the secret of his success.

At present, while completing his Bachelor thesis, he is already working as Project Manager at Rightsource Technologies Pvt. Ltd, where he is in charge of setting up an IPO and creating a vendor source for engineering product for Clients in Europe and responsible for Vendor Audits and compliance with International Quality standards.
