Conditions
- The rent has to be paid for the full semester period (September/October 1 February 28/ March 31 or March 1/ April 1 August 31/September 30), even if the student leaves earlier and does not need the room during the holidays.
- Rooms in student residence can be rented for a maximum of two semesters. The rental contract cannot be extended for any additional semesters.
- The first rent and the deposit must be transferred on time.
If the payment is late, the reservation of the room will be cancelled automatically. The payment has to be transferred to Sparkasse Nürnberg, Bankleitzahl 760 501 01, Kontonummer 135 83 42. Please indicate your "personal number". Please do not forget to include possible bank fees in the sum transferred. - The application is binding.
- Arrival at student residence is only possible on weekdays and has to be arranged with the "Hausmeister" in advance. In exceptional cases, a tutor of the International Office can pick up the keys beforehand so that the student can move in on weekends as well.
- The rooms and kitchenettes are not equipped. That is, there is no cutlery, crockery, pots or pans, no pillows nor blankets. The flats in catergory 1 sometimes provide a basic equipment of dishes . The International Office provides basic equipment to be borrowed for a limited number of students. Every residence has washing machines and tumble dryers; irons and ironing boards as well as vacuum cleaners may be borrowed in the residence halls.
- All residence halls are located within a 20-minute walking distance from the University of Applied Sciences and the historic city center. Students receive a discount on tickets for public transportation. They may also want to buy a bicycle.
