OHMcard
The OHMcard has the following functions:
- Student ID
- Payment card (can be charging with a certain amount of money for making payments of copies, printouts and university fees)
- Libary card (for checking out books, etc.)
- Mensa card (paying for meals at university canteens and cafeterias)
- Card for electronic looking systems (accessing computer labs, etc.)
a) Student-ID
The OHMcard needs to be validated before the beginning of the semester at one of the OHMservice terminals:
- Library of Business and Social Sciences (Teilbibliothek), Bahnhofstraße 87
- Studienbüro, Prinzregentenufer 41
- Central Library (Zentralbibliothek), Keßlerplatz 12
- IT-Center (Rechenzentrum); Keßlerpletz 12, A-Building, 4th floor
b) Payment Card
You may charge your OHMcard using €5, €10, and €20 bills. The maximum amount permissible on the card will be €100. At the following locations you will find OHMcharging terminals:
- Library of Business and Social Sciences (Teilbibliothek), Bahnhofstraße 87
- Mensateria, Keßlerpletz 12 (small canteen)
- Central Library (Zentralbibliothek), Keßlerplatz 12
- Mensa Insel Schütt (large canteen)
c) How to print or make copies with your OHMcard
In each faculty you will find computer labs for students where you can print out documents. Copy machines are also available in each faculty.
Before you can start printing or copying with your OHMcard, you need to allocate part of the amount on your card for printing (“Druckkosten-Guthaben”). This can be done at the above mentionen OHMservice terminals.
