DAAD
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is one of the world's largest and most respected organisation in the field of higher education. For more than 75 years, the DAAD has been committed to the advancement of academic relations between Germany and other countries as well as, in a more general sense, to promote education, science, culture and research within societies.
In 1997 the DAAD launched several programs to enlarge the focus of German universities towards a more internationalized perspective. The "International Degree Program, in particular, was introduced to enhance the development and establishment of international degree courses, according to high quality standards and international-oriented criteria. Among hundreds of applicants, only a small number of degree courses were chosen, on a yearly basis, to receive funding and strategic know-how from the DAAD. Our international business courses were among them and allowed us to extend our international structures to build up a worldwide network with other universities.
CHE and Die ZEIT
Since 1998, the Centre of Higher Educational Development (CHE) together with the German news magazine DIE ZEIT has compiled a yearly comprehensive ranking of 280 German universities, assessing both various degree courses as well as the university as a whole based on numerous quantitative and qualitative criteria.
The CHE ranking provides a detailed picture of the different degree courses offered by the universities and categorizes them in three larger groups: the top, middle or lower group.
Since 2005 our International Business Program has continually been awarded with a top position in the CHE ranking.
ACQUIN
ACQUIN is an independent, non-profit accreditation agency in charge of accrediting academic degrees and is officially recognized by the German Accreditation Council.
ACQUIN's main goal is to ensure that accredited degree courses offered by German universities meet certain quality standards for teaching and studying in a higher educational institution, paying attention to the internationally- oriented concept of the courses. An accreditation by AQUIN, therefore, is a useful additional criteria in looking for a suitable international degree course in Germany.
